Watercolor Basics

Watercolor Painting is an exciting medium; it flows and moves and does beautiful things. Instructor Mary Laury has been recognized for her work by the Maine Arts Commission and we are very happy to have her offer this class through ArtWaves.

Participants will do landscapes and seascapes in this 4 session course. If you have never painted in watercolors we will start at the beginning. If you have painted before, you may pick up some new tips and tricks as well. We all learn together! A total of 12 hours of painting.

Tuesdays from 1 to 4pm, Jan 11th, 18th, & 25th, and February 1st, 2022

Adults

$200 including some materials for 3 hours per week over 4 weeks ($190 for Members)

Masks, vax'd, and distancing where possible to keep all comfortable and safe.


About the Instructor: Mary Laury is a watercolorist from Maine. The dynamic nature and botanical subjects of Maine are Mary’s passions. An experienced teacher, she has taught painting and drawing, both in the classroom and in the field, for many educational programs. Mary also serves on the board of directors of various arts organizations. Mary is the former Executive Director of Schoodic Arts for All. After retiring in August of 2021, she looks forward to teaching and painting more.
